After install, the program scans local drives, selected drives, or a folder you pick. It then shows a sortable directory tree, an extension list by file type, and a treemap where larger files take larger rectangles. The three views stay coupled: click a block in the treemap and the tree opens that path. Click a type in the extension list and the treemap lights files of that type. Cleanup actions sit in the same window: open the item, copy the path, show it in Explorer, delete, or empty a folder. The README also lists duplicate detection by hash, logical versus physical size, and Windows maintenance shortcuts. Those knobs belong to this install. WizTree, said plainly
WizTree is the name people already know from Antibody Software. Their official page describes a Windows disk space analyzer with a treemap. On NTFS drives they read the Master File Table directly from the disk. That MFT read is their published method. They also describe a visual treemap so large files and folders show as large areas. Windows only. Freeware and donationware, not open source. We do not reprint their screenshots, their chrome, a version number, a price, or a megabyte number for their installer. Those change on their side.
Official WizTree can sit number 1 for its own name. That is expected. If you arrived because you typed WizTree and you wanted their file, their official site is the place for that brand.
