This policy is the publishing rule for Disk Space Analyzer notes. Sentences never type a frozen dotted WinDirStat version. The current release tag on the stamp comes from GitHub when notes build. Publisher details sit on about.

What verified means
A note is verified when a person has compared the Windows winget id, package manifest, and GitHub Releases asset names with the sources in the table on the review date, then set last verified to that date. The date is 2026-09-02 for the current lock. Last verified is not a freshness badge for every GitHub star count. Stars, download counts, and the current tag come from GitHub at build. Prose that names a behavior (treemap, extension list, CSV export, duplicate CSV, portable settings) has to match the README on that same date.
Windows is the mapped install path. Release assets are Windows MSI, zip, 7z, and MSIX. App Installer is required for winget on Windows 10 1809 or later and on Windows 11. The product itself, per the README Compatibility section, is developed for and tested on Windows 7 through 11 and the Server list there.

Other review roundups are not sources. winstall.app listed the same winget id on the review date. Notes still treat microsoft/winget-pkgs and the README as the identifier source, because the README already prints the winget line.
How the winget command is checked
The public command uses the README line and the winget-pkgs PackageIdentifier:

Scope is machine. Installer URLs point at GitHub Releases MSI files for x86, x64, and ARM64. Release tags at build
File names, sizes, and the current tag are read from GitHub before a build. The stamp prints that tag. Body copy says "the current release" so a new tag does not leave a stale dotted number in a paragraph. Default take is the x64 MSI. ARM64 MSI, x86 MSI, portable zip, portable 7z, and MSIX stay on the same tag for readers who want those shapes. WinDirStat-Hashes.txt is the checksum list. How comparisons stay fair
Compare notes use the other vendor's own page, with an "about" hedge on any price. WizTree is a Windows NTFS MFT scanner, freeware with a paid supporter path on the vendor site. TreeSize Free is a Windows edition from Jam Software, with a paid TreeSize Professional beside it. SpaceSniffer is Windows treemap freeware. Drafting tools may help shape a sentence. They are not a source. A command, package id, path, or price has to match README, winget-pkgs, GitHub, or the named vendor page on the review date.
